iBroadcast has been developed by Astec to fill the gap between monitoring and control applications developed by hardware vendors (which typically suffer from an inability to connect to 3rd party hardware in a seamless way) and hardware independent vendors applications which are tailored to the broadcast industry and in many cases do not offer the same level of flexibility and openness as other applications available for monitoring and controlling equipment outside of the broadcast industry. Astec has developed iBroadcast to leverage the strengths of the GE Fanuc Proficy iFIX application (with over 300,000 licences installed worldwide and an unrivalled library of device drivers for communicating with devices of almost any description) by developing a suite of value-add components which answer the specific needs of the broadcast industry and provide a true, commercial off the shelf solution to any broadcast monitoring and control requirement. |
